Review: Bowling for Columbine- 1st half.

Michael Moore is one the most annoying people on the planet. Thus, the only reason I elected to finally watch one of his films was because it was assigned as one choice for extra credit in class (not that I needed it of course). Well, Bowling is a documentary loosely on the events around the massacre at Columbine highschool, but it really had nothing to do with that. I think the main gist was gun control. But, maybe it wasn't even all that. I think he mostly wanted to get the word out that America is a violent place and we are bringing up violent kids. Not a bad message actually. But it IS Michael Moore, so he won't say it correctly. He uses shock and awe- that's it. In the introduction, he goes through a typical day in the US and says that "President Bush bombs another middle eastern country we can't pronounce." Hello? If you can't pronounce the country, you really are as uneducated as you appear and second, that's absurd. He even manages to show footage in the Columbine cafeteria on the day of the killing spree. But it's only for shock affect, there's really nothing going on. At the Marilyn Manson interview I turned it off. Marilyn Manson ALSO blaming Bush for how violent we are as a nation? Despite what you think M, you are more influential the President Bush with the youth of America so don't kid yourself. You aren't just playing 'innocent rock' or whatever you called it.
Don't bother with this load of drival- unless you are interested in seeing the Marilyn Manson music video...which would probably cause you to want to be shot rather than shooting others...
